Calcined petroleum coke is derived from green coke by heating to high temperatures (> 1,200 C). This process removes virtually all of the hydrocarbon content (i.e. to < 0.1%). However in order to suppress dust, a small amount (< 0.3%) of oil might be added to the cargo.
Sinoway Carbon Co. (Sinoway), jointly owned by Sinoway Carbon Energy Holdings LTD and DUBAL Holding LLC, is one of the leading suppliers of calcined petroleum coke to the global aluminum industry. In 2011, Sinoway began the construction of a 630,000 MT/year calciner in Shandong, China.
It is created by placing high quality raw "green" petroleum coke into rotary kilns, where it is heated to temperatures between 1200 to 1350 ˚C (2192 to 2460 ˚F). The high temperatures remove excess moisture, extract all remaining hydrocarbons and modify the crystalline structure of the coke, resulting in a denser more electrically conductive product.

Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is the product from calcining raw petroleum coke (RPC). The raw coke is the product of the Coker unit in a crude oil refinery. CPC is used to make anodes for aluminium smelting and is also used in dioxide industry, steel and titanium.
We began assessing anode-grade calcined petroleum coke (CPC) on a monthly basis in May 2013 at the request of the aluminum industry. The US Gulf CPC price assessment was the first to reflect the spot tradable value for CPC used by aluminum smelters, in a market where most purchases are done quarterly or semi-annually, and often retroactively.

20/12/2014· Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) has been used for more than 120 years to produce the carbon anodes used in the Hall-Héroult aluminum electrolysis process. Several other forms of carbon were tested in the early stages, but none proved to have the right coination of low impurity levels, relatively low cost, and ready availability.
reappliion of water to overcome the hydrophobic nature of petroleum coke. Wetting systems for petcoke piles can include the following: — water cannons; — water trucks; — misters and aerial sprays. The following issues should be considered when using

Calcined Petroleum Coke main use is used in steelmaking the electrolytic aluminium pre-baked anode and anode paste, carbon industry production increased carbon agent, graphite electrode, industrial silicon smelting and fuel etc. No products were found matching your selection.
16/9/2020· In a matter of hours, calcined petroleum coke is cooled from 1350 degrees C to less than 200 degrees C, when it can be safely handled and transported to storage silos or placed directly into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges or vessels. 【Appliion of Calcined Petroleum Coke】.
Calcined coke is the best material for making carbon anodes for smelting of alumina to aluminum. Petroleum coke is usually calcined in a gas-fired rotary kiln or rotary hearth at high temperatures, around 1200 to 1450 C, to remove moisture, drive
Crude oil remained after separating other valuable petroleum products from refining process such as diesel, lubricants, waxes, etc. can be processed further in cokers or other cracking processes
The further processing of green coke by calcining in a rotary kiln removes residual volatile hydrocarbons from the coke. The calcined petroleum coke can be further processed in an anode baking oven in order to produce anode coke of the desired shape and physical properties.
Coke PJSC LUKOIL manufactures coke at the following refineries: OOO LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka, ООО LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez and S.C. PETROTEL-LUKOIL S.A. (Romania). The products of LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka are represented by electrode calcined coke, grade KEP-2, and electrode aggregate coke for the aluminum industry, grade KZ.
7.6 Petroleum Coke. When petroleum is refined, there are residues left behind that are processed into coke to yield either delayed coke or fluid coke. In the delayed coking process, various petroleum feedstocks, including vacuum and pyrolysis residues and decant oils heated to about 450°C are pumped into a drum and held for 24 hours (Adams, 1997).
Calcined petroleum coke use Calcined petroleum coke is mainly used in the production of graphite electrodes, carbon paste products, diamond sand, food-grade phosphorus industry, metallurgical industry and calcium carbide, among which the most widely used is the raw material for graphite electrodes.
The carbonaceous material is widely used as energy source in cement, smelting, manufacturing of aluminium & steel and other carbon consuming industries. Pet coke is majorly consumed as fuel due to its high calorific value, low particulate and Sulphur emissions, high carbon purity and …
Petroleum coke is available in two forms, fuel grade, and calcined grade. Rising power and cement industry in developing countries such as India, China, and Vietnam are projected to drive the
